A thoroughly enjoyable visit yesterday evening to Shirley Woolmer Chapter at Sidcup 🦅The Perfection ceremony was delivered to an exceptionally high standard, with many Brethren involved throughout the ritual, making for a most impressive and memorable occasion 🌹❌Warm congratulations to E & P Bro. Bob Smith of Lamorbey Lodge No. 5614, who becomes the District’s newest Prince Rose Croix 👑 The Money Chapter ring was once again put to good use during the ceremony, a small but meaningful tradition within the District 🤺 One might even be reminded of Tolkien’s famous words, “One Ring to rule them all…”, though in our case it is perhaps fair to say that this ring quietly helps bind the Chapters of the District together in shared ceremony and fellowship. Each time it is used, it carries with it a small piece of the history and friendship that connects our Chapters across West Kent 💍🙏It was also a pleasure to welcome Ill Bro John Canham, a Past Sovereign of Arbor Vitae Chapter, and to be introduced to Ill Bro Geoffrey Ellis of Invicta Chapter No. 10, attending as a guest of Nick Murphy 🤝. It was equally good to see Ill Bro Paul Buckingham, visiting from the darker depths of the County 😉The ceremony itself was delivered superbly throughout. Ill Bro Greg Dunham led the way with a faultless rendition of the Intermediate Degrees, followed by Ill Bro Paul Lincoln, Most Wise Sovereign, who delivered the First, Second and Third Points with clarity and authority. Ill Bro Nick Murphy, MWS Elect, performed the Emblems of the Order, completing what was truly a trio of excellence.Congratulations also to E & P Bros Bob Weston (Marshal) and Liam Turner (Raphael) for their ceremonial duties, excellent throughout.The evening concluded with a most enjoyable dinner with the Brethren, together with the newly performed ritual known only to the Perfect Mason 🌹, “The Ceremony of the Rolls.” Wonderful to witness and worth the visit alone 🥖🍷Well done to all the Brethren for such an excellent evening 👏The next meeting will take place on the fourth Friday in May, when Ill Bro Nick Murphy will be enthroned as Most Wise Sovereign.#WestKentRoseCroix#ShirleyWoolmerChapter#PerfectionCeremony#PrinceRoseCroix#MoneyChapter#RoseCroix#FellowshipAndFriendship#TraditionAndProgress#TheEaglesHaveLanded#ceremonyfellowshipfriendship📸 Photographs are taken with the knowledge and consent of those present. A very enjoyable visit yesterday to Eos Chapter No. 1005 at Oakley House, Bromley.Eos Chapter is unique within the District as it is our only daylight Chapter, with meetings commencing at 11.00hrs, a format that many Brethren find particularly appealing.The meeting featured a demonstration of a Perfection ceremony, with a large number of Brethren taking part. Looking forward to visiting Eos Chapter No. 1005 today at Oakley House, Bromley.Eos Chapter is unique within the District of West Kent as it is our only daylight Chapter, with meetings commencing at 11.00hrs.
