A lovely visit today to Eos Chapter, West Kent’s unique daylight Chapter, for the enthronement of its new Most Wise Sovereign, Ill Bro Nick Murphy.![]()

The enthronement ceremony was conducted in excellent fashion by Ill Bro Charles Marchant 31°, who I hope will not mind me saying is 93 years young and an absolute inspiration to us all. His enthusiasm, commitment and delivery were wonderful to witness 🙏![]()

Adding further to an already excellent meeting, the Chapter also welcomed three new joining members, which is a fantastic reflection on the warmth and appeal of Eos Chapter. I also understand there is already another joining member proposed for the next meeting.![]()

At this rate, if the numbers joining continue along their present course, we may soon have to start looking for a larger lodge room!![]()

A wonderful evening last night visiting Acorn Chapter No. 1020, West Kent’s unique Anglo/French Chapter, at Sidcup.![]()

The evening commenced with a Perfection ceremony, which was a pleasure to witness, the standard of ritual throughout being excellent ✨![]()

My congratulations to Patrick C 🇫🇷 for his superb delivery of the Intermediate Degrees, to Jo Jackson for the explanation of the Collar, and to Jean-François 🇫🇷 for his delivery of the Signs of the Degree. Jean-François 🇫🇷 also occupied the Chair for the Second Point, and the exchanges between him and Patrick C 🇫🇷 (Raphael) were both delightful and beautifully delivered.![]()

I was also pleased to be invited to conduct the Accolade, once again introducing the Money Chapter ring into the ceremony, a small but meaningful District of West Kent tradition which quietly links many of our Chapters across the District 🤝![]()

It was also my absolute pleasure to present Supreme Council 18° Certificates to E. & P. Bros Ian McCoy and Philip Stowell, both marking an important milestone in their Rose Croix journey 🌹❌![]()

If that were not enough for one evening, Acorn Chapter then proceeded to enthrone its Most Wise Sovereign for the ensuing twelve months. E. & P. Bro Bob Sloper, as Enthroning Sovereign, installed Jean-François 🇫🇷 in exemplary fashion, a real testament to the considerable hard work Bob has clearly invested throughout his year in office.![]()

The Address to the Most Wise Sovereign was delivered by a friend and guest of the Chapter, E. & P. Bro Roger Talbot 18°, whilst the Address to the Princes was undertaken by another regular guest, Ill Bro Nick Murphy 30°. Both addresses were delivered superbly and both Brethren are a real credit to the Order.![]()

Jean-François 🇫🇷 then appointed and installed his Officers in excellent fashion, with all but one progressive Office (excluding Stewards) occupied by his friends and countrymen, a unique and rather special characteristic that could only really occur within a Chapter of this constitution. Great credit is due to the Chapter and to its English-speaking French members 🇫🇷![]()

1st Vinters Rainbows, based in Vinters Park, Maidstone, provides a welcoming environment for girls aged 4–7, often working alongside local Brownie units to support their journey through Girlguiding.![]()
