A wonderful meeting of Kent Chapter No. 1071 at Whitstable today, with an excellent attendance and a pleasure to see so many brethren from the higher degrees of both East and West Kent 🙏Kent Chapter provides an opportunity for brethren to explore and learn more about the higher degrees of the Rite. Today’s topical and informative talk by the Most Wise Sovereign, Ill. Bro. Adrian Wagstaff 32°, focused on the Intermediate Degrees. Although these degrees are conferred by name, Adrian’s description of their ceremonies and the moral lessons they contain added greatly to our understanding. I found it absolutely fascinating 💯✨There was also time to declare the next Most Wise Sovereign, and it seems the members have chosen wisely! It was wonderful, too, to break bread and eat salt with more than 30 brethren, which is always a very special moment 🍞🧂🏆Congratulations to Adrian for choosing such a fitting subject (and menu), and thank you to everyone who made the meeting so enjoyable.📸 Where photographs are taken during our meetings and events, Members and guests are always informed in advance and invited to step aside should they prefer not to appear in photographs or on social media. 🌹 ROSE CROIX IN DAYLIGHTRose Croix meetings do not always have to mean an evening journey.Eos Chapter No. 1005 meets during the day at Bromley, offering members another way to enjoy the ceremony, dining and fellowship that make our Order so special.A daylight meeting allows members to travel and return home during daylight hours, enjoy a relaxed meeting followed by lunch, and share the company of friends without occupying the evening.It is a format that may suit working members, retired members and those with busy personal, family or Masonic commitments. It is not intended for any particular age group, it simply provides another choice in how members can enjoy their Rose Croix Masonry.The ceremony remains just as meaningful, the welcome just as warm and the fellowship every bit as enjoyable. Today was the day, and what a wonderful occasion it turned out to be.Money Chapter No. 76’s charity luncheon at the London Beach Hotel brought together 46 guests for a most enjoyable afternoon of excellent food, warm company and generous support for a very important local cause.Thanks to a wonderful charitable arrangement with the hotel, the £46 cost of each luncheon ticket was donated to the Kent Oncology Charity Trust, supporting Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals. With 46 people attending, that means an incredible £2,116 raised, and not a raffle ticket in sight! Just a lovely lunch, great company and everyone coming together to support this important cause. Huge thanks to Michael Cole and Adrian Wagstaff for championing the event and for the arrangements.A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and supported the event. A very enjoyable visit to the District of East Kent today, where Brett Portman kindly invited me to be his personal guest for his enthronement as Most Wise Sovereign of Gravesend Chapter No. 677.There is a wonderfully warm atmosphere in the Chapter and its Saturday daytime meeting is also convenient for working members and for anyone who prefers not to drive in the evening, so if you haven’t visited yet it’s a must for the future.Thank you, Brett, for the invitation.
